Sunny Penzance

This very small courtyard garden in Penzance is on a hot and sunny hillside with the garden split over two levels. Having designed an extension, my client decided to transform the garden whilst she is having building work done.

This is a great time to think about the garden as, when you have someone there building, it can be very cost effective to get them to do the main garden structure at the same time. It also gets you to think about how the space will change and whether materials being removed can be reused.

On a minimal budget the design makes use of all the space in the garden and instead of just being a walkway through to the garage there is a purpose to the sunny lower terrace.

Google SketchUp was used to communicate the design and to show how the extension and landscaping would come together.

This garden is being built in 2018.
