Geometric shapes and structural forms were used to implement my client's brief to create a contemporary city garden in the style of The Hempel Hotel in Bayswater, London.
Clean lines with a mix of dark and light colours contrast against the lush green lawn. I used natural materials and planting to soften the lines and tie the design in with the surrounding buildings.
Re-vamping the summer house and extending the deck added a generous space for alfresco dining.
Pleached limes, stylish black metal pots, a low-voltage lighting system and simple planting are now easily maintained by a local gardener.
My designs were faithfully executed and the result is a fine city garden with a fresh contemporary edge.
