To fit in with a major refurbishment, the golf club needed a stylish modern entrance. The club wanted to use the space as an extension to the restaurant and bar area and also for club photographs.
The new design incorporates seating into the raised beds and a small deck terrace. Bespoke tall, red features capture attention and tie-in with the dark red planting scheme - these are to be added at a later date.

“When we decided to redesign a particularly difficult front garden at Boughton Golf Club we knew we
needed to have a professional designer, and in my mind they don't come much more professional than Katherine Edmonds Garden Design.
From the first moment I knew we had chosen the right firm; Miss Edmonds arrived promptly and wasted no time in doing a thorough survey
of the site while taking plenty of time to understand our specific needs. This garden not only is the first point of call when customers
arrive at our golf club, and therefore obviously has to look great, but just as importantly it needed to create a security barrier to
protect the entrance of the club from break-ins - particularly the ram raiding kind. In addition we wanted to give our restaurant diners
something beautiful to look at while they eat, instead of an unsightly view of the car park. The garden therefore had to be self-contained
visually and was further hindered by being a small area surrounded by the building on three sides with the car-park on the fourth.
Whenever you call in a designer there is normally a leap of faith that you need to take, as very often you get nothing more than some hand drawn sketches of how they feel the design should look. This is not the case with Katherine Edmonds Garden Design; within a couple of weeks of her visit we had full scale drawings of the proposed design, complete with 3D renderings. Not only did she hit the mark first time, but after seeing the presentation we had absolute confidence that the finished product would look great, and we have not been disappointed.
