Community Gardens
Design: Katherine Edmonds Garden Design
Dame Emily Park, Bristol
After entering the Southville Arts Trail we were asked to help the Southville Centre with their design ideas to change a small, unused part of Dame Emily Park into a community garden. This design and drawing is now being considered by council officials and funding bodies.
North Street Green, Bristol
A design for North Street Green had been given to the Community Volunteers. We helped develop this initial plan and produced scale drawings so that the committee could then submit the proposal to the council and other authorities.
Work has begun with the removal of the diseased trees and a large London Plain planted into the pavement on North Street. It is not known when the remaining landscaping will be completed.

Southville Community Development Association was very pleased to work, on a pro bono basis,
with Katherine Edmonds on designs for public, community gardens in two areas of Bedminster, Bristol. Katherine's lively ideas
and clear drawings allowed us to seek public support for the gardens and will be the basis for funding proposals to the lottery
and other sources.
